6Sides, a LINQ-X company collaborated with D&D London & CetraRuddy to create a highly-expected Taste of London to NYC At Hudson Yards.
The historic opening of Hudson Yards in NYC has brought in with it a plethora of award-winning dining destinations from globally-renowned names, drawing in the masses to the stunning property.
Opening its second NYC restaurant location, UK restaurateur D&D London has debuted queensyard at the project located on the fourth floor, bringing a taste of London to Manhattan’s West Side. Boasting an innovative English menu, creative libations and unparalleled views of the city and the project’s emblematic Thomas Hetherwick Vessel, queensyard serves as the perfect location to enjoy the best of London’s cuisine and culture—particularly with its decadent menu and special offerings including Afternoon Tea.
Upon entering the bustling restaurant, guests are greeted by a stunning interior design, curated by CentraRuddy, which pays homage to its origins as a rail yard. The space boasts natural light with floor-to-ceiling windows, a vibrant and sophisticated color scheme, plush seating and gorgeous greenery that transports diners to an upscale English home mixed with the feel of a classic New York penthouse. An impressive collection of artwork lines the walls, including pieces from Warhol and Basquiat.
"The brief from D&D was very clear from the beginning, that sound is just as important as the quality food they serve, says Steve Lastro. Our aim was to preserve the architect’s vision and to provide a state-of-the-art sound experience within the restaurant. We achieved this by designing an audio system that would be sleek and elegant for the different needs in the three distinctive zones of the restaurant: dining room, bar and live Entertainment / DJ."
Queensyard opened in March 2019.
